jhpropertyguide.com is the new online real estate publication from the Jackson Hole News&Guide.

Real estate is a very hot commodity here in Jackson Hole — even after the bottom fell out of the market around the rest of the country. While everyone else was reeling from the bubble-burst, the Jackson Hole News&Guide recognized an opportunity to get into the online real estate publishing market with a brand new product. After more than a year of design, development and negotiations with local brokerages and the Teton County MLS Board, jhpropertyguide.com was born.

And Twist of Lime was there every step of the way. The News&Guide had their preferred graphic designer and Web developer, but no one in-house with the ability to manage the development of such a complex site. We handled project management, from the original scope draft, through design development, to paring down the punchlist. And as it goes with many projects of this size, we’re still ironing out the wrinkles and anticipate some level of continued involvement in the short-term.

The advantage of jhpropertyguide.com is the killer content combination of all listings in the Teton County MLS database coupled with the robust daily content creation of jhnewsandguide.com. In addition to local real estate listings updated daily, jhpropertyguide.com brings in for-sale-by-owner properties and rentals as well as real estate-specific articles from the News&Guide. This project was possible only with the collaboration of designer Kate Dore of Dore Davis Design and developer Alexis Sarthou, who is a Twist of Lime go-to guy for development needs. Alexis developed simple solutions for the admin areas of the site, which, as I mentioned, allows Members to update their own profiles, but also allow for easy update of grants and the addition of news items. This information is then dynamically updated in all the right places on the site.

1% for the Tetons is a small organization with a limited budget and nearly no staff to speak of, so we had to keep things as simple as possible for Jonathan Schechter and anyone he may conscript to make updates down the road. But the organization is growing, and Jonathan has big plans, so we had to also make sure the site was easily expandable to allow for the organization’s — and the site’s — anticipated growth. We wish Jonathan all the best with this new site while we also look forward to the next phase.

Snake River Brewing's new Tapline email newsletter.

One of our favorite places to down some suds, Snake River Brewing is an award-winning brewery based here in Jackson Hole. While in the process of having their Web site redesigned, SRB approached Twist of Lime to develop an email marketing program to complement their new site.

Snake River Brewing has a broad following. From their Mug Club members, to the Tapline email newsletter subscribers, to their distributors and wholesale customers, they have a dedicated client base and needed a way to effectively communicate with all of them. With design help from Wood Design Studios and email marketing tools from Mail Chimp, we developed a campaign allowing them to tailor messages to their various constituents. And we got to drink some good beer along the way!

Teton Raptor Center has an online home now to accompany their physical location.

It’s almost unthinkable that a place with so many birds of prey does not have a center to care for injured birds and educate visitors and locals about them. Well, we did, but it was wildlife biologist Roger Smith’s back yard until a dedicated group of individuals helped him get Teton Raptor Center off the ground.

While still working out their lease at the historic Hardeman Ranch in Wilson, Wyoming, with the Jackson Hole Land Trust, Teton Raptor Center contacted Twist of Lime to begin working on fundraising materials. That job turned into others. We worked with Rossetti Designs to develop campaign materials for their capital campaign and for the run-up to Old Bill’s Fun Run for Charities in 2008, and we worked with Bluesky Creative to build them a Web site that will grow with them for the foreseeable future.

Aside from being an accomplished novelist and screenwriter, Tim Sandlin runs the annual Jackson Hole Writers Conference, an event that attracts well known authors, editors, publishers and more as well as many, many aspiring writers. It’s held every year here in Jackson Hole, and like any event, needs to have an up-to-date Web site. The site needed some custom coding to implement a new registration system, and we had just the guy who could write that code and keep it in the budget. We also updated all the content for the 2009 conference, and cleaned a few things up in the process.

While we were working on developing their site content, we brought in Rossetti Designs to develop their logo and stationery.

For the Web site, Twist of Lime assembled a top-notch team consisting of Mindplant Interactive for the design and Redtopia Software for the development and content management system.

We are proud to note that Mr. Schwartz was soundly re-elected to his position for another term.
