I was particularly struck by how much would be saved if every house only changed one bulb. Here in Jackson ANYONE can pay $25 to Lower Valley Energy to have every single inside bulb replaced with a CFL (I don&#039;t think that includes bulbs that can be dimmed, but it is still a fabulous deal). Obviously, everyone should retrofit, and all the new houses coming up should just start with CFLs, right? Unfortunately, no. A friend just moved into his brand new house, and one of the bills he received was from his electrician who apparently &quot;bought the highest wattage, most expensive incandescent bulbs he could find for every single fixture.&quot;  There are a lot of fixtures in a 3000sf house, so I am giving my friend $25 for an early Christmas present.</description>
